Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy

Our musculoskeletal physiotherapy service focuses on the assessment and management of pain, injury, and movement-related conditions affecting muscles, joints, and nerves. Treatment is guided by thorough clinical assessment and tailored to your individual needs.

Hands-on techniques used to improve joint mobility, reduce pain, and restore normal movement patterns. Manual therapy is integrated with exercise and rehabilitation for lasting results.

Individualised rehabilitation programmes designed to support recovery from sports-related injuries, improve performance, and reduce the risk of recurrence, whether you are recreationally active or competing at a higher level.

Structured rehabilitation following surgery, focusing on restoring strength, mobility, and function, and supporting a safe and confident return to daily activities or sport.

Clinical techniques used to address muscle tension, trigger points, and pain, often combined with manual therapy and exercise as part of a comprehensive treatment approach.

Women’s Health Physiotherapy

Our women’s health physiotherapy service provides specialist assessment and treatment for conditions related to pregnancy, postnatal recovery, and pelvic health. Care is delivered with sensitivity, discretion, and a strong focus on restoring confidence and function.

Specialist physiotherapy to support women throughout pregnancy, addressing musculoskeletal pain, postural changes, joint or ligament discomfort, and movement difficulties as the body adapts. Treatment focuses on relieving pain, improving mobility, supporting core and pelvic stability, and helping women remain active and comfortable during pregnancy through safe, individualised exercise and manual therapy.

Pelvic Health & Urinary Dysfunction Assessment and treatment of pelvic floor dysfunction and related pelvic health conditions, including urinary leakage, urgency, pelvic pain, heaviness, and core or stability issues. Care includes pelvic floor rehabilitation, education, and tailored exercise programmes designed to restore strength, coordination, and confidence in daily activities and physical exercise.

Mummy MOT® A comprehensive postnatal assessment evaluating abdominal separation, pelvic floor function, posture, breathing, and movement following childbirth. The Mummy MOT® identifies areas of weakness or dysfunction and provides a structured, individualised recovery plan to support safe return to exercise, improve core and pelvic floor function, and address postnatal symptoms.

Injection Therapy

Corticosteroid injections are a targeted treatment used to help reduce pain and inflammation in specific joints or surrounding soft tissues such as tendons, bursae, or ligaments.

The injection typically contains a corticosteroid medication, often combined with a local anaesthetic, to calm inflammation and support pain relief.

Commonly used for:

  • Shoulder, hip, knee, or ankle joint pain
  • Tendon or bursa inflammation (e.g. bursitis, tendinopathy)
  • Arthritis-related joint pain
  • Persistent pain not improving with physiotherapy alone

Injections are offered as part of a full clinical assessment, with clear discussion of benefits, risks, and alternative options.

Hyaluronic acid injections are used to help reduce joint pain and stiffness and improve movement, particularly in joints affected by osteoarthritis.

This treatment aims to improve joint lubrication and shock absorption, supporting smoother and more comfortable movement.

Commonly used for:

  • Knee osteoarthritis
  • Selected hip, ankle, or shoulder joint conditions
  • Joint stiffness and reduced mobility
  • Persistent symptoms despite rehabilitation

Suitability is assessed carefully, with clear explanation of expected benefits and alternative treatment options.
